The silence before the storm

Marco is sitting on a Speeder bike on the edge of a cliff, overlooking a big crater. Several men sit on their speeders aswell but they are discussing loudly, but it seems that marco is not listening. Seven days passed since the battle of Bal'mozak's crater, the battle took three days. In those three days almost the half of the N.D.A (New Datalonian army) was lost but the army of the Ylona let even more. The suprising underground attacks left them only chaos in battle, and the commando's had been sabotaging almost every enemy vehicle that was on the battle field. Today The N.D.A. would leave the crater and head to the ruined city of Bal'mozaak itself. Just after the battle it was like they dissepeared and no sign of enemy was left on any section they controlled.

Within the half hour the N.D.A.'s tanks roled into the city's ashes with the troops sitting on their big backs. Marco and the full speeder squadren, consisiting of rarely twenty-four armed speeders, were scouting the entire city. Not any live form untill now had shown itself, but the troops seemed to be ready for any fight. Suddenly they take a left and the street opens in a crossection. The builing straight ahead has been attacked heavily, and large holes were above. Marco's squad lowers their speed on his command and at some point marco says "Dismount! grab your rifle and stay in full pontificals". The men disnmount and they all grab their rifles, they variate from man to man but the rest of their equipment is totally the same. They walk striaght ahead and walk slowly towards the buiulding. Suddenly one of the commando's get a shot right between the eyes and falls down. "Enemy contact! Sniper in the tower! BACK!" They rush back as one of the soldiers gets hit aswell. Marco turns around and sits down behind a large hill of ashes. "Telon, get here! If they give us sniper fire, we give them?" The men has a somewhat idiot look, and he answers "Boom boom". He takes his runs back to the speeders and five seconds later he comes back with a rocket launcher. Marco looks nervously at Telon, as he on his turn nervously aims trough a high tech scanner. Suddenly he pulls the trigger and a rocket fly's trough the air, it hits the building and the side of the building slowly charshes down. Marco looks at Telon "What did I say about not using the gas bombs!"

Within two days they totally found nothing more then ashes and corpses. Every sign of the enemy was missing, and the army pulled up towards the Capital
